Story Sharing
I learnt this recipes from my untie Ji Yi (mother's 2nd sister).
One of the day in 2007, when I was back at hometown, I saw a lots of  aloe vera growing richly (big & juicy) in the backyard. Apparently they were planted by Ji Yi! She shared with me that aloe vera is easy to plant, just soil, pesticides free (organic!) and it will grow abundantly.
I know aloe vera by its richness in nutrients (especially good in wound healing and for beauty of skin) but have no idea of making it a food except juice. Then she offered to make me a dessert from aloe vera. This is how the "comeabout" of  this aloe vera dessert! It was refreshing in taste.
Aloe vera is costly sold in the supermarket at RM3 to RM5 a piece! Thanks to Ah Siew, my 5th sister in law for her supply of home grown aloe vera in each of my preparation of aloe vera dessert.

配料
3-4

  2. ohh...u r around ping, nice to see u :))
yes, really refreshing but remember to put honey as aloe vera itself is tastless!
Quality of honey is very critical here....
My choice is always genuine organic honey :))

  3. ok, will do that. This is suppose to be a "cooling" dish, right? Been having sore throats so thought this might be a good idea.

  4. i have aloe vera in our garden too. but i looked up white fungus and could not discover a suitable option. don't think we get it here. and no pandan leaves too here. but that maybe i can use something else for flavouring.
